Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain staff rosters, ensuring optimal coverage aligned with client needs
- Handle rostering adjustments, including shift swaps, absence coverage, and last-minute changes
- Liaise with team leaders and support workers to coordinate staffing based on availability and client requirements
- May be required to assist with intake phone calls and collaborate with the intake team to develop or adjust support plans, leveraging in-depth knowledge of rosters.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, industry standards (NDIS), and employment regulations
- Provide training to new staff on rostering systems, procedures, and expectations
- Collaborate with the recruitment team for onboarding and the payroll team for accurate timesheet processing
- Develop contingency plans for emergency roster changes and ensure continuity of services
Skills & Qualifications
- Cert III or IV in Business Administration or relevant field (highly desirable)
- Experience in administrative roles with a focus on rostering and scheduling (essential)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage competing demands
- Proficiency in rostering software and IT systems, with a willingness to learn new technologies
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Understanding of the disability sector and relevant regulations (NDIS) (essential)
- Experience in customer service roles working with diverse populations (essential)
