Our NDIS support coordinators help with navigating your plan

When daily life feels overwhelming, you need to be able to reach out to someone. NDIS support coordination is the helping hand you can rely on to help you manage the daily stressors of life, provide you with the tools needed to achieve your goals, and give you your independence back.

What is Support Coordination?

Support coordination is a service intended to optimise the benefits you receive from your NDIS plan. It involves working with professional support coordinators who have a deep understanding of the NDIS and can assist you in comprehending and implementing your plan effectively. These coordinators serve as your personal guides, ensuring you’re not only aware of the resources available to you but can access them as needed.

A good support coordinator delves into your NDIS plan, aligning your goals with the services and supports available. This process includes locating service providers, helping you understand service agreements, and ensuring the services you engage with are actively improving your life.

Support coordinators are the key to simplifying the complexities of the NDIS, transforming an often hard-to-navigate system into a support system that resonates with your daily life.

The New Growth difference

At New Growth, we do support coordination differently. We go above and beyond what your standard support coordinator will do.

As your dedicated NDIS support coordinators, we’ll take care of the details in your daily life that have become difficult for you to deal with alone. Whether it’s scheduling appointments, liaising with service providers, helping you manage your home, or anything in between – we’re here to help. Our support coordinators work tirelessly to make your day-to-day life more manageable, allowing you to focus on achieving your goals. We’re compassionate and supportive when you need care, agile and problem-solving when unexpected difficulties crop up, and dedicated to showing up each and every day to help you make the most out of life.

The New Growth personlised process

You reach out

We really take the time to get to know you on a personal level. When you first enquire with New Growth for Support Coordination you will be contacted within 24 hours to have your voice heard.

First consultation

During this initial consultation we will begin to understand you on a personal level and from there be able to assign one of our dedicated support coordinators that are specific to your needs.

Your dedicated support coordinator is assigned

All our support coordinators have different areas of expertise so you will be placed with someone who understands your needs. Once assigned, we will book a time for an initial visit to your preferred location.

Initial visit

During this visit you will meet your Support Coordinator and one of our senior team leaders. We take the time to learn more about you and your needs, what your strengths are, and the areas you'd like to improve.

Your personalised support begins

From here we will go away and implement the necessary supports for your individual situation, keeping you involved every step of the way.

Concerned about having enough funding for support coordination?

If you’re like many NDIS participants, you’re likely worried about how you can make the most of your funding, and how you can manage it without running out.

New Growth’s support coordinators have developed specialised budgeting strategies that maximise your plan’s financial resources – ensuring you never run out of funding for the support you need. We’ll help you keep track of your expenditures, avoid the stress of unexpected shortfalls, and ensure your funds are working for you in the most effective way possible.

Support coordination makes your life easier

We aim to enhance your quality of life. By helping you deal with administrative tasks, funding management, and other stressors, we provide you with the freedom to live the way you’d like to.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Support Coordination different from Plan Management?

Support Coordination focuses on helping you manage and implement your plan, connecting with service providers, and building your capacity. Plan Management, on the other hand, is about managing the financial aspects of your NDIS plan.

A Support Coordinator can provide immediate assistance in a crisis by helping you access emergency services, modifying your support plan to address the crisis, and connecting you with the necessary supports.

While a Support Coordinator may assist in connecting you with employment services, finding a job is generally outside their direct scope. They can, however, help you find supports that improve your employability.

Support Coordination itself doesn’t cover transport costs, but our support coordinators can help you understand how you can use your NDIS funding, including transport funding, to meet your needs. Depending on your individual situation, we can also support you to gain access to the Multi Purpose Taxi Program and other local supports.

The duration of Support Coordination services depends on your NDIS plan. It’s usually provided for the duration of the plan, which is typically 12-36 months, but can be reviewed and adjusted as needed.
