Primary Purpose
As a Mental Health Disability Support Worker at New Growth Care Group, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, focusing on those experiencing mental health challenges. You will assist with daily living activities, offer emotional support, and implement personalised care plans. Your role is central to promoting client independence, improving social inclusion, and ensuring their mental and physical well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support clients with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and meal preparation.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and social outings.
- Implement individualised care plans developed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor client health and report any changes.
- Provide companionship and encourage social engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and care provided.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
