We had an incredible Halloween party at our Briggs Street SIL home in Caulfield on Friday!
Our residents, support workers, families, and friends all came together to celebrate in style. The costumes were next-level this year. We had sumo wrestlers, unicorns, vampires, and a few mystery characters that kept everyone guessing. The music was pumping thanks to our DJ, who had everyone dancing from start to finish. You couldn’t help but smile watching everyone let loose and enjoy the afternoon.
And of course, no celebration is complete without good food. Our team went all out, preparing an incredible spread that included everything from freshly made platters to sweet treats that looked almost too good to eat. We even had a spit roast that was an absolute hit with everyone. The kitchen was buzzing with energy, laughter, and the smell of good food, just the way a home should be.
Our amazing House Manager, Ahmad, made sure the celebration extended beyond our walls too. He invited all of our neighbours to join in, and it was so special seeing the local community come together. Many of them brought their kids along, who loved meeting our residents and getting involved in the fun. It really added to the sense of family and belonging that makes our Caulfield home so special.
At New Growth Care, we believe that Supported Independent Living isn’t just about providing a place to stay. It’s about creating a home where people feel safe, valued, and part of something bigger. That’s why we go above and beyond for the key moments throughout the year. Events like Halloween give everyone the chance to come together, express themselves, and share a sense of community.
We know that moving into a SIL home can be a big step, which is why we focus on building real relationships between residents, staff, and families. Our support workers do so much more than provide care. They’re the heart of our homes, always finding ways to lift people up, build real connections and make sure everyone gets to live life their own way.
The Halloween party was a beautiful reminder of that. It wasn’t just a fun afternoon, it was a reflection of how strong the bonds are within our Caulfield home. Seeing everyone laughing, dancing, and celebrating together showed exactly why we call it the New Growth Care family.
As the year wraps up, we’re already planning our next big celebrations. Whether it’s Christmas lunch, weekend BBQs, or summer outings, we’ll keep finding new ways to bring everyone together and make our homes feel full of life.
If you or someone you know is looking for SIL housing in Caulfield or anywhere across Melbourne, we’d love to chat. Our homes are designed to feel like home, with a team that genuinely cares and a community that always finds a reason to celebrate.
